lotus-pods Art & Lotus

This weekend at LotusFest 2023 we will exhibit  some amazing pieces of art created by Teresa Shreiber Werth. Teresa incorporates dried lotus pods into each piece of art. The exhibit is called “The Art of Nature”. Complete Details about LotusFest 2023 may be found HERE About the Artist  Teresa Schreiber Werth grew up in Tonawanda, NY, graduated from Elmhurst College (BA 1969) and has lived in Spencerport, NY for 54 years. She is a retired communications professional, published author, speaker, certified funeral and wedding celebrant and artist. She has been a “hobbyist artist” her entire life, dabbling in drawing, painting, clay, mixed media/collage pieces. Twenty years ago, she became obsessed with smooth seashell fragments that she collected in the Outer Banks. She created jewelry, shell and stick nativity shadow boxes and the Woman Rising Series of pins, featured at the Clothesline Art Show and still sold locally. She is an active member of Rochester Contemporary Art Center and View Art Center (Old Forge, NY). Currently, she is working with dried catalpa and lotus pods and other natural materials to create three-dimensional hanging and free-standing art. She hopes that her art resonates with viewers and helps them to see the world differently, based on the creative use of everyday materials. Teresa Schreiber Werth Terry-Reduced-1 Art & Lotus
