This compact unit is able to filter ponds up to 700 gallons and skim ponds up to 2,500 gallons.

Savio Skimmers help in 4 ways:

• Skimming Action – removing floating debris, such as leaves, from the water’s surface. The debris is held in a rigid plastic basket which has a handle for easy disposal!
• Biological Filtration – the 2 filter pads serve a site for beneficial bacteria to live. These helpful bacteria break down toxic ammonia and nitrites in the water
• Mechanical Filtration – Both the plastic basket and the filter pads prevent potential obstructions from entering your water pump thereby extending its overall life. Plus you pump is hidden in the skimmer box out of sight.
• UV Filtration – Savio has an optional ultraviolet light which fits into the compact skimmer. UV’s are a safe, chemical-free way of eliminating green water (Sold separately)
