Bergen Water Gardens is excited to offer a selection of “Friendly Koi” this spring. Certain koi varieties tend to be more gentle and so a willingness to bond with their owners. They are the first to come to the surface, they often will feed from your hand and eventually love “to be pet” or gently rubbed. These fish tend to be larger fish; approaching a meter in length when adults! This group of fish includes:

Chargoi – Tea Colored Koi

Soragoi – Sky Grey Koi

Ochiba Shigure – Falling leaves on water Koi

Most of these fish are also Ginrin or diamond scale koi which adds to their beauty. Many are impressive Butterfly Koi as well. If you want a fish with a great attitude, add one of these great “Friendly Koi” to your pond and it is destined become your new best friend!
