Nepenthes truncata Pasian highland BE 3203 is a reliable grower and adaptable to varying conditions, this is a highland form of the species and rarer in both cultivation and habitat than the more widespread lowland forms.

Borneo’s Exotics detail: This item consists of two different clones from the same grex of seeds as the single clone sold under BE-3707. As with the clone sold under BE-3707, these two clones were originally selected from amongst an original 24 clones for their vigor, but at the time of writing (Nov 2020) any difference between their appearances is not yet known. If you already have BE-3707, then if you obtain this item, you will be getting a mixture of two different clones, both of which are different to the clone that is BE-3707.

BE-3203 = clone #13 & #15 mixed randomly together

These are small plants, potted in a 4 inch pots, potted with long fiber sphagnum moss and perlite.

Description

Climate: Highland

Tropical Pitcher Plant (Nepenthes sp.) Care

Best to use only pure water – rainwater, distilled water or RO water. Be careful of bottled water as some contain salt which will kill your Tropical Pitcher plant
Keep a small amount of pure water in each trap. Mist plants regularly.
Keep soil moist; but well drained at all times. Do Not let your Nepenthes sit in water
Nepenthes like partial sunny location. They grow well on windowsills or under fluorescent lights in a terrarium.
Soil is mixture 3 parts long fiber sphagnum with 1 part perlite or 1 part fine orchid bark.
Fertilize Nepenthes with foliar fertilizer. ¼ tsp of Maxsea per gallon of water, 2 times a month
Nepenthes like to grow warm: above 50 degrees. Ideal is 65 to 80 degrees with high humidity.

Note: Pitchers will change in color and shape as they mature. Often there are also several different clones in our mix, so the pitchers may vary slightly for this reason as well.

My plant is growing slowly but surely. It’s making the biggest pitcher so far which is about 2 inches tall. It was small when I got it but now the new leaves are bigger. I’m growing in lowland conditions and it seems to be quite happy after having it for a few months now.
