Let us first say THANK YOU to all of our wonderful customers who have supported us during the spring of 2020! We appreciate your orders and kind words during these challenging times. We welcome the hundreds of new lotus growers to this exciting new hobby!
To help us keep up with the ever increasing demand, we have creates 2 new lotus growing areas, in the spring of 2020. The first features an area we call “The Wall”. The Wall is actually three, 30 feet shelves, which holds a total 93 micro lotus pots. We use our small bowl lotus pot to make it easier to maintain the micro lotus. In the upcoming weeks, we will install a central watering system to help save time. At the beginning of June 2020 we currently feature about 18 varieties of micro lotus. The collection will evolve as the summer progresses. The remaining area will feature hundreds of pots of lotus and perhaps The Wall 2.0.
Check back throughout the summer as we document and update the progress of this area and our lotus. Due to the cold spring, our lotus are about 5 weeks behind their normal growing cycle for 2020. We hope to celebrate LotusFest 2020 on August 1 & 2, 2020, with this new area open for visitation. You are welcome to visit Lotus Paradise this summer during regular business hours or by appointment.
Thanks again for all your support during 2020. We have more surprises for 2021!

I love the new shelf and the new area. I saw it on your youtube since I watch your channel there. I’m glad you posted a photo of the side view so I can build something like this in my own garden. Most of my lotuses are doing well. I have had trouble with caterpillars this year eating my leaves. So my Red Beijin and my Big Versie haven’t done anything. Poor things lose all the new leaves. I’m afraid they will die. But my Golden Sunset has flowered beautifully. I have featured it on my youtube called Scary Fear. Day 1 is my favorite flower because it is light orange/pink then it becomes more yellow. I can’t wait to place another order with you in the Fall.

Thank you for comments. We are trying to grow the micros and bowls in an easier manner and let us observe them easily. We physically remove the caterpillars when we see them. you could also try one of the sprays which use bacteria to kill the caterpillars. good luck and thank you for your support.

Larry please post info on the micro lotus….does it do well indoors? How much sun? Temperature conditions needed? Etc
Larry Nau says
Micro lotus are outdoor plants, they do not grow indoors. they will start indoors but get leggy and weak and eventually die. We have the largest number of micro lotus pots growing to date. We will post as much information as we can. We make sure they get at least 8 hours of direct sun, many get sun all day. We tend to move ours outside in mid June here in Rochester, New York, the last couple of Springs have been exceptionally cool.
