Stone Garden Art is created at various stone factories in eastern China. The summer of 2017 brought us to Qingdao, China for my fourth visit since 2010. Qingdao is where my journey to China began in 2010, as I laid out the groundwork for the 2011 IWGS International Symposium. About two hours outside Qingdao is a progressive and creative stone factory. Here the workers and artisans create magnificent stone carving. The stone might be grey granite, green marble, basalt or yellow sandstone to name a few. From this rock is created everything from a 6 inch turtle to a towering 20 foot Fu Dog. This was a superb educational visit and we thank everyone for their hospitality and of course wonderful lunch! A special thanks to Pandora for arranging and escorting us on our tour. Stone Garden Art:
