  • The ancestors of modern Wakin were the first type of goldfish imported from China.
  • The name Wakin was applied centuries later, in the mid-1800s.
  • Wakins have a torpedo-shaped body with a quadruple, triple, cherry blossom or single carp tail.
  • Wakins are strong and tough and are suitable for both pond and aquarium keeping.
  • These fish may grow up to 12 inches in length
  • Wakins are very vivid red or red & white
  • A new calico variety has just been introduced
